Hey, I’m Joanne.
A former seafarer from Malaysia. For much of the last decade, I worked on board cruise ships and travelled across Southeast and East Asia.
This is where I write about life at sea, travel, and simple living – not as someone who has life figured out, but as someone still working through it.

I work at sea and write between contracts, places, and plans. I’m from Malaysia, drawn more to nature and quiet spaces than city life, and much of my travel has happened through working onboard cruise ships across Southeast and East Asia.
I’ve wanted a space like this for a long time. This site is where I write about seafaring life, travel, money, and the slower questions that surface when life isn’t always moving along a fixed path.
